America does Easter right

America does Easter right if by right I mean hijacking a religious holiday and making it a consumerist Easter Extravaganza then they do it very right. (Maybe it should be Easter Eggstravaganza!)

Marshmallow eggs, probably gross but the packaging idea is cool

Peeps - it's a marshmallow chick covered in colored sugar - definitely gross but we always bought a pack for my grandmother along with a bag of jellybeans.

And if your basket isn't full yet...
My girls have already asked if the Easter Bunny will visit them at their grandparents. I guess I have some shopping to do! Wow, my first Easter at home in about 15 years.

Check out what some other blogger friends have to say about Easter.

Fish stocking

Yesterday we took a trip up to camp (my sister and brother-in-law’s camp) to stock the streams and the pond with trout. It’s a very beautiful place as you can see. It is also very peaceful as all the mountains around belong to the camp. It’s a co-op of about 40 owners who use the camp for hunting, fishing, and general relaxation. We had good weather for it too. It was sunny and just a little bit windy. The only downside was when we left the private road and got back on the regular road, we had to share it with a motorcade of shale gas workers who were coming down off the mountain.

Rosie wanted to touch all the fish and wish them well. Only a few died, but quite a few jumped bucket before we could get them to the water.

What kind of hunting camp would it be without some trophies on the walls?
It was a good day.
