I would discuss it with your endo, it'll be them monitoring you at the end of the day, not us here :)czarownicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05851827590215353327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489825674468647913.post-91702703173433865592015-01-04T20:14:15.877+01:002015-01-04T20:14:15.877+01:00I think it's a good result. I next did the antibodies test and it is within the normal range. So now considering my cholesterol, my extreme intolerance to cold and "cold flashes", plus tiredness, I am not sure what to do. Perhaps I should just wait and retest periodically?Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05384854442041889558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489825674468647913.post-40211924218311393052015-01-04T19:07:26.287+01:002015-01-04T19:07:26.287+01:00Ignore your cholesterol as long as your thyroid is...Ignore your cholesterol as long as your thyroid is underactive. When it's balanced, you'll get your true level.
If your thyroid is properly underactve (raised TSH and low T4/T3) then you need supplementation. Tricky when you've got so called subclinical hypothyroidism - raised TSH and normal T4/T3.
I usually go by symptoms then, esp if somebody's tired and start them on a low dose (25mcg) of thyroxine. But here's no right or wrong in this situation, watchful waiting is same good.
Oh, we also check for antibodies to see if that's Hashimoto. Just to know, as supplementation is the same, TSH driven, for the rest of life.
Hope your endo is a reasonable doc.czarownicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05851827590215353327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489825674468647913.post-32952481545512536742015-01-04T17:27:43.488+01:002015-01-04T17:27:43.488+01:00Doctor Bruce Lipton discovered we are not contro...Doctor Bruce Lipton discovered we are not controlled by genes Please see his lecture on Y tube " The New Biology "
Pozdrawiam GosiaGosiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03563598038276684313noreply@blogger.com
