Much to do

I have a large translation to do. I’ve already done a lot, but there is still a lot more. I work on it everyday, but even though I keep chugging along, it seems to never end. At least it is interesting.

Translating is very bad for your waistline, at least the way I do it with an iced coffee with straw parked in front of me (no hands required). I make the iced coffee myself (coffee, ice, milk, vanilla sugar, whipped cream). I suppose I could make a lower calorie version, but it wouldn’t be as good and I am quite sure the quality of my translations would suffer. Of that I am sure.

I will finish, though, eventually. In anticipation of all the free time I will have ;) I have hit empik to stock up on books. Thanks empik and your 20% off of all books in English (until Wednesday). It even includes cookbooks :)

Back to work…

The ice coffee is not bad, you could still add ice cream;)

There is something special about paper book - so I totally understand your Empik sentiment. Have you tried Kindle? (wow! I can't believe I'm actually promoting Kindle. I'm a Nook'er myself, but I know Nook isn't available outside of US).

I studied the Nook, Kindle, and iPad before my move to Poland. I finally ended up with an iPad; I loved being able to get periodicals too, and the color. But now I have no real books to trade with my book club members tomorrow.

Paddy - Until Wednesday and check your bill. They forgot to give me a discount on one book.

Stardust - You are right. It could always be better (or worse) with a scoop of ice cream. Hmm, that gives me an idea...

madkasia - I haven't tried any of the readers yet. I am slowly preparing myself for the transition.

Lois B - That's one bad point, not being able to trade. I wonder if I can get books in English from empik for Kindle???
