Two birds
So the Chuck Norris jokes have finally hit the 2nd grade...in Poland. My 7-year-old just told me these jokes: Mommy, how many pompki (push-ups) did Chuch Norris do? All of them!!!!! Haaa, haaaaa. Mommy, did you know that Chuck Norris is so good he killed 2 stones with one bird. She laughed for 2 minutes, and then she said , "I don't get it."

Nie wiem co ludzie widzą w tym gościu ... te żarty są kiepskie i moim zdaniem nieśmiesznie . Może to po prostu przesyt po codziennej dawce tego typu żartów
Wojtek _ I agree with you that I as an adult am over the C.N. jokes.My children don't even know who Chuck Norris is except that he is the guy who was on the BZ-WBK ads awhile back. The funny thing is that my daughter heard those jokes at school and in Polish. I don't know what the other kids thought because that idiom (two birds, one stone) doesn't exist in Polish. You have something with bread and ovens???
We have "Upiec dwie pieczenie na jednym ogniu" - "to cook two roasts on one fire" or something like that.

W polskim występuje takie powiedzenie , ale nie wiem czy ono ma dokładnie takie samo znaczenie w języku angielskim . Bynajmniej ja nie użyłbym takiego sformułowania, nawet gdybym znał . W ogóle przysłowia, frazy , powiedzenia oraz frazeologizmy nie powinny być dosłownie tłumaczone bo one mogą być źle zrozumiane . Widać to w tym żarcie z C.N ;)
